Cookie policy
OutSpeed uses cookies and similar browser storage mechanisms to support sign-in, your account and basic anonymous website analytics.
This page describes the website's current technical implementation.
Cookies and storage in use
- A web session cookie is set after successful sign-in so the website can recognise your account.
- An anonymous visitor token in local storage is used to record website visits. It is not a cookie, but acts as a technical browser identifier.
- Your chosen website language is saved in local storage under outspeed.language, so your preference is remembered on future visits.
- External sign-in or payment services may set their own cookies when you visit their pages.
Why this is needed
- To keep you signed in across requests and pages.
- To protect your web session and end it correctly when you sign out.
- To count anonymous visits and understand which pages are used most often.
- To support sign-in, payment and returning to the service after checkout.
- To remember whether you selected Russian or English.
Technical details
The server sets the session cookie with security restrictions: HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax, a site-wide path and Secure in production or when using HTTPS.
The anonymous visitor token is stored in browser localStorage and sent to the server with the page path when recording anonymous visit statistics.
The language preference contains only the language code ru or en. If storage is unavailable, you can still switch language for the current visit.
How to clear cookies
You can clear cookies and website data in your browser settings. This signs you out and may affect some website features.
Clearing local storage removes the anonymous visitor token and saved language preference. A new token is created on a later visit, and the website language is selected from your device preferences again.
