Set up OutSpeed VPN on Android, step by step

Choose a compatible Android client, import your OutSpeed VPN subscription, test a server and check background connectivity.

OutSpeed VPN on Android needs a compatible client and your personal subscription link. The client creates the phone's connection; the subscription provides server settings. Follow this guide from your account to a tested connection.

Choose a compatible client

Begin with the app offered in the OutSpeed VPN account instructions. If you choose an alternative, check support for your profile's protocol and transport. An app having VPN in its name does not guarantee compatibility.

Incy, Happ and Hiddify are separate clients for connection profiles. Our Incy guide covers downloads and import. Installing a client does not activate an OutSpeed VPN subscription. Import using the personal link or QR code rather than entering your account password in an unfamiliar app.

Step 1. Prepare your subscription

  1. Open your OutSpeed VPN account on the website or through the Telegram bot.
  2. Check that the subscription is active and your plan allows another device.
  3. Open connection instructions and choose Android.
  4. Install the recommended client using the provided link, checking the project and publisher.
  5. Return to your account and keep the connection page open until import is complete.

When choosing a plan, compare the total price and device allowance shown in your account. Set up one phone first, confirm it works and then add your remaining devices.

Step 2. Import your profile

Use the button that opens the client from your account instructions if available. Confirm the profile import and check that servers appear. Otherwise, copy your subscription URL and use the client's add-profile-from-URL or clipboard option. Hiddify provides this through the plus button.

Copy the complete URL without spaces or line breaks. Your account sign-in page is not a subscription URL. Keep the personal link and QR code private rather than posting them in comments or public chats.

Step 3. Connect and test

  1. Choose an available server, starting with one showing a reasonably low delay.
  2. Press Connect and allow Android to create the VPN connection for that client.
  3. Wait for the connected status, then open a few websites and the app you need.
  4. Test Wi-Fi and mobile data separately.
  5. If a server fails, refresh your subscription and try another server from the profile.

Low delay is useful for calls but does not guarantee the fastest downloads. Test your real task: a video, a call or the site you need. Compare speeds on the same network without competing downloads.

If the connection drops with the screen locked

If the connection works while the client is open but fails in the background, check Android battery and background restrictions for that app. Menu names differ across phone manufacturers. Allow the background operation you need, lock the phone for a few minutes and test again.

If the problem only follows a change from Wi-Fi to mobile data, reconnect and test the new route. Change one setting at a time rather than altering DNS, transport and battery options together.

Make it work for daily use

Once the basic connection works, add exclusions for banking or local apps if needed. Separate Happ and Hiddify guides are available in this blog. Begin with one app and make sure the rest still use the intended VPN route.

For support, note your Android version, client, network type and tested server. Mention when the same profile works on a different network: that comparison makes diagnosis much easier.

Common questions

Must I buy again after reinstalling the client?

Usually you can import the profile from your account again. If device binding or a limit applies, check your devices and current OutSpeed VPN instructions.

Can I run two VPNs together?

Use one active VPN client for initial testing. Other apps using Android's VPN connection can conflict with it.
